BACKGROUND
& APPROACH

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and Child Mental Health Specialist in the State of Washington with 13 years of experience working with individuals and families in educational, recreational, and therapeutic settings. Since earning my Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work, I have worked as a Child and Family Therapist and Clinical Director at a local mental health agency, as well as an adjunct faculty member at a local graduate program. I have extensive experience serving children, adults and families who are struggling with emotional and behavioral problems.

I use a collaborative, supportive and dynamic approach, which focuses on solutions for positive and lasting change. This incorporates multiple theoretical approaches and techniques in creating opportunities for growth, including narrative therapy, play therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, family systems therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and supportive and educational interventions. Within my approaches I weave in my own style which is direct, empathic, and playful.
